With fall sports coming back, it is important to keep your student-athletes hydrated.
When an athlete isn’t well hydrated, their performance and decision-making abilities can suffer. It can also make them more vulnerable to getting hurt and if left untreated, it could lead to heat exhaustion.
Health experts recommend having chlidren drink a bottle of water the night before and drink another one the morning of practice, so they start with a full tank.
Symptoms of dehydration include headache, fatigue, dizziness and muscle cramps.
