Doctors and the CDC are worried about older adults who are not getting a second COVID booster shot.

Researchers say the hesitation is because awareness and access to boosters is not the same as it was for the initial vaccine.

Doctors say efficacy can wane over time, which is why people need second boosters, and seniors don’t have as strong an immune system. Plus, new variants of the virus keep surfacing.

Along with boosters, doctors say we should also continue to practice safety measures.
