The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society raises money for lifesaving cancer research.

An annual campaign is underway to honor local blood cancer survivors, and remember the lives lost to the disease.

The “Visionaries of the Year” campaign, formerly known as “Man and Woman of the Year,” is in its 35th year.

This year’s honored hero is Elicia McMullen. She’s a local mother of twin boys and a two-time cancer survivor.

She is sharing her story now, to give others hope.
