New program focuses on mental health for construction workers

The state Office of Mental Health announced the launch of a new program called Building Hope Through Action.

There’s a new effort to improve mental wellness for construction workers here in the Capital Region.

The State Office of Mental Health announced the launch of a new program called Building Hope Through Action.

It will focus on the construction industry, which is an industry with one of the highest suicide rates in the United States.

The goal is to decrease suicides, while making mental wellness and suicide prevention a part of the industry’s culture.

The effort will help construction workers in Albany, Schenectady, Saratoga and Rensselaer counties.
