Some ground cinnamon sold at discount stores has been found to be contaminated with high levels of lead and should be thrown out.

The Food and Drug Administration said cinnamon sold at the Dollar Tree and Family Dollar contains lead levels unsafe for people.

In children, long-term exposure to lead can lead to slower development, brain development, behavioral and learning problems.
