Rensselaer County has confirmed one case of monkeypox involving a county resident.
This comes from the Rensselaer County Health Department.
It is the first confirmed case in the county.
The health department says it involves a resident that recently traveled out of state.
They are monitoring the victim and are hoping to ensure care.
The county has received a small number of vaccinations and will be working with those at risk.
