RSV cases are rising across the country.

Symptoms for the highly contagious respiratory virus include coughing, sneezing, sore throat, fever and a lack of energy.

Small children, infants and adults over the age of 60 can develop more severe symptoms.

To help prevent the spread of RSV, A doctor with the Cleveland Clinic said everyone should regularly wash their hands and stay home if sick.
