Rural health groups get grants
New York state is trying to improve health care in our rural communities.
People living in rural communities often have limited access to certain health care needs.
The state Department of Health awarded nearly $50,000 to rural organizations to help ease these challenges.
This comes from the CDC’s COVID-19 Health Disparities Grant, which is also funding five mobile health vehicles to serve these areas.
Roughly $22,000 worth of personal protective equipment was also given to rural communities.
