Siena Men’s Basketball Team to hold orange flower

Siena Men's Basketball Team will hold the orange flower this year at the Walk to End Alzheimer's.

The Siena College men’s basketball team will be among those participating in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s that will take place at the college on Saturday.

Coach Carmen Maciariello and his players will put down the basketball and pick up an orange flower, which represents all those who support the calls of the Alzheimer’s Association and its vision of a world without the disease and all other forms of dementia.

“We want to make sure they understand the value and giving back. It’s now always about them. It’s not about the person who they are. It’s about the man or woman to the left and the right that they can help,” he said.
