Sports can help people figure out how to solve problems, how to work together, manage frustrations that come with not everybody doing what they want, when they want them to do it, managing whether a team is successful or not and dealing with loss, suggest experts.
If your child does join a new sport and they don’t like it, that’s OK. There are plenty of other sports and activities for them to try.
