Study: Adults with ADHD more likely to develop dementia
Adults with ADHD are three times more likely to develop dementia than other adults.
Researchers say ADHD in adults may create a neurological condition that reduces their ability to make up for cognitive decline later in life.
The results also indicate treatment with medication may help reduce the risk.
More than 3% of adults in the United States have ADHD, and most go undiagnosed.
