Drinking a glass of 100% fruit juice each day has been linked to weight gain in children and adults, according to a new study.
The definition of 100% fruit juice is juices with no added sugar.
The research, published in the journal of the American Medical Association Pediatrics, finds juice contains little fiber compared with the whole fruit. That means that juice will not make you feel as full as eating fruit itself.
If you want to enjoy that fruit flavor with fewer calories, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends adding a splash of juice to water.
