Whooping cough cases are on the rise in the United States.

There have been over 14,000 cases this year. That’s the highest in a decade.

Dating back to 2014, more teens and young adults are being infected by whooping cough.

Outbreaks have been noted in schools as well as communities. Babies and young children are at the highest risk because they can suffer some pretty severe complications if they get a whooping cough infection.
