Alpin Haus has acquired a Latham ski equipment and apparel shop.

The company, which has six stores in the Northeast bought High Adventure Ski Shop at 1054 Troy-Schenectady Road. The ski shop has been owned by Diana and Darrell Karl for the last 31 years.

The husband-and-wife team plan to remain on site to serve their loyal customers.

“The Heck family shares the same values and commitment to their employees and customers that we do, and we are looking forward to joining their team,” they said in a statement.

Alpin Haus President Andy Heck said they are thrilled to add High Adventure to the family.

“Our shared philosophies and passion for skiing make this move a great opportunity for everyone involved. Our combined existing customers, and future customers alike, will benefit from an expansive inventory, state-of-the-art technology and an impeccable customer service team. We look forward to a seamless transition,” he said in a statement.
