Amsterdam home to last full-line car, truck lift manufacturer in US

The last full-line manufacturer that builds small car lifts all the way up to giant truck lifts in the United States is in Amsterdam.
Mohawk Lifts has been making lifts since 1981.
The company was awarded a $300,000 Empire State Development Grant last year to expand its operations.
The company used the money to update its manufacturing equipment and processing by adding automation to their process, and to create a new factory floor layout to increase productivity.
The project is also increasing the company’s workforce to handle the new growth.
