Capital Region breweries honored at awards ceremony

A number of Capital Region brewers have taken home New York State Craft Beer Competition awards.

A total of 96 awards were handed out last month at the Albany Capital Center. Awards were presented across 30 style categories including lagers, ales and experimental.

Local breweries taking home top prizes were Druthers for its “Dark Encounter” in the Dark Lagers Category.
Artisanal Brew Works in Wilton won for its “Trappist at the Track” Belgian Tripel and Wayward Lane Brewing in Schoharie for its Shadow-tricks in the experimental category.
