Celtic Treasures to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day all month
Celtic Treasures in downtown Saratoga Springs is looking forward to March.
The business, which started on Broadway more than 30 years ago, celebrates St. Patrick’s Day all-month, owner Paul O’Donnell said.
This includes live Celtic music pop-ups, homemade Irish soda bread and a store stocked with a wide variety of goods, including home décor, clothing, gifts and treats from Ireland.
The jewelry section is among the store’s most popular. O’Donnell said the Claddagh ring is one of their best sellers ever.
“It stands for friendship, loyalty and love. Pretty much every Irish person has one, but it’s a generational thing. Grandmothers come in and buy them for their grandkids. So, it’s a great symbol of Ireland,” he said.
Those looking to explore their Irish heritage can also come to Celtic Treasures for information.
“We help people out with family history like genealogy stuff. You tell us your last name and we look it up and do a nice family crest,” he said.
