Construction firm BBL celebrates 50th anniversary
One of the Capital Region’s most well-known and prolific building contractors is celebrating its 50th anniversary.
Albany-based BBL was established in 1973 as a design-build construction company and has since grown and diversified to become a nationally recognized leader in construction services, property management, and hotel and restaurant operations.
BBL’s work includes high-profile office, high-tech and industrial buildings, hotels and restaurants, retail establishments, medical facilities, as well as multifamily, student and senior housing.
The company now has more than 400 employees across five core divisions, with annual construction revenues reaching $500 million and a portfolio of projects and properties that spans more than 30 states.
In its 50th anniversary year, BBL said its vision, values and commitment to community service remain inspired by its founder and longtime leader, the late Don Led Duke.
