Floor & Decor almost ready to open at Colonie Center

A new retailer is close to opening at Colonie Center.
Floor and Décor, a retailer that specializes in hard surface flooring and related accessories, is set to open Oct. 12 in the former Sears space at the mall.
The company has more than 190 stores across the country. The new store is more than 56,000 square feet and includes both a warehouse and design center.
Next month’s grand opening celebration will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony and the first 200 people in the store over 18 years old will have a chance to roll six dice for the chance to win a million bucks.
Floor and Décor is also holding a contest to win a $5,000 makeover, plus tickets to the Giants-Eagles game on Jan. 7.
