Ashiatsu is a specialized form of massage therapy. The owner of a Glenmont business is the most trained professional in New York state specializing therapy. 

Dawn Dotson owns Barefoot Space on Hamilton Road.

She and massage therapist Ericka Hill moved the practice from the Four Corners of Delmar to Glenmont in 2021. Not only did the business survive the pandemic, but it will be expanding, thanks to a microenterprise grant from the town of Bethlehem.

The expansion will include a cold plunge and a sauna that will be available to everybody in the community, according to Dotson.

Barefoot Space offers a variety of massage therapy techniques. Dotson is also a certified trainer offering classes in barefoot massage at the space.
