A handmade furniture and design store is being honored in Montgomery County.
Pine and Plaid on Main just celebrated its two-year anniversary in Amsterdam. Now it’s the county’s “Business of the Month.”
The store has already moved into a larger space, and they’ve found creative ways to cater to customers.
Co-owners Amie Santiago and Richard Aldi have combined their love for creativity and design to create the business’s vision.
Santiago says: “Having a business in our hometown, where we were born and raised, is very special to us. We are excited to keep small businesses in our community. Amsterdam is a great city, and we are both very excited to see our business grow in the wonderful city.”
The store features large pieces of furniture – including dining tables, hutches, coffee tables and everything you might need for a home remodel.
Each piece is customizable and very high-quality. The shop uses three different kinds of Amish wood that is modified in-house for that great looking piece to make your home shine.
The shop is located at 6 Main Street in Amsterdam.
