Juice, smoothie business is dream come true for Delmar woman

The dream of owning a business has become a reality for a Delmar woman.

Shilpi Debuka recently purchased Bliss Juice and Smoothie Cafe.

The ribbon was cut on the business this month.

Debuka was born in India, in a very large family of business people and dreamed of owning her own business.

She immigrated to the U.S. in the early 2000s, obtained her work visa and worked for the Department of Taxation. However, she still wanted to follow her dream.

Jackie Slattery was looking to sell Bliss – and the two became connected – now the rest is history.

Debuka is offering some new items to the expansive menu, including authentic masala chai, energy bites, smoothie drinks and more.

The cafe is open Tuesday through Sunday – from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
