A new 47 room hotel and 15,000 square foot event space is now open in Coxsackie.

The James Newbury Hotel and the Wire Event Center opened Thursday.

The hotel rooms are decorated to reflect the hotel’s roots in the Hudson River Valley.

Hotel amenities include a lobby bar and restaurant, outdoor patio and lawns that stretch to the banks of the river.

The Day Line Oyster Bar and Kitchen and the Fifth-Floor Rooftop Restaurant, will open soon and offer indoor and outdoor dining with unique and panoramic views.

The Wire is a 15,000 square-foot event space sits on a neighboring site with multiple rooms, including a large ballroom and a waterfront atrium.

The venue caters to large events like weddings, conferences and trade shows.
