That’s according to the Saratoga County Chamber’s insider report, county sales tax collections are up more than 11% versus this time last year.
Across the county, local hotels also reported a 17% increase in the revenue per available room so far in 2023, versus the same time in 2022.
Chamber president Todd Shimkus said, “our hope is that this will continue into the spring and summer. The only thing that continues to challenge our local employers is the shortage of labor to fill local job openings.”
To help employers fill local jobs – the Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce is hosting a reverse job fair on May 2 from 1 to 4 at the Embassy Suites in Saratoga Springs.
Local employers can attend to meet with local agencies like aim services, Saratoga Bridges, and living resources as well as the adults in their programs looking for employment opportunities.
