Saratoga Springs hard at work to bring conferences to city

Saratoga County is gearing up for Global Meetings Industry Day. It’s set for March 30.

Meetings, events and conferences play a huge role in the American economy.

There was nearly $100 billion in meeting and event related travel spending in the country last year. That helped support more than 600,000 American jobs.

Discover Saratoga’s mission is to have a positive impact on the local economy by promoting and marketing Saratoga Springs and Saratoga County as a world-class destination for meetings, conventions and groups.

Discover Saratoga worked with 403 groups that accounted for nearly 80,000 overnight rooms, and an estimated economic impact of $59 million.

The Discover Saratoga group market is responsible for one in five room nights booked in Saratoga Springs.
