A free small business mentoring program is available for area entrepreneurs.

SCORE offers confidential expert support and advice to business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs at no cost.

This is through a wide array of challenges locally. There are 38 mentors helping over 450 clients from Hudson to Canada.

The local SCORE chapter launched in 2006 and has grown tremendously in recent years, especially since the COVID-19 pandemic. SCORE mentors are all successful business professionals and come from different backgrounds at companies both large and small.

Richard Sellers is one of the local business mentors involved in this program which assists all types of small business.

“I’ve been doing this 15 years after a big company background, and I’ve met hundreds of great people and I learn from them as much as they learn from me,” he said.

SCORE is currently seeking new clients to help and additional volunteer mentors to learn more.
