Stuyvesant Plaza’s oldest operating store is planning to remain in the plaza. Pearl Grant Richmans has signed a new lease.

Originally named Richmans Card and Gifts, the store opened in 1959 by founders Jerome and Rose Richman.

They bought another Stuyvesant Plaza store in 1965 – Pearl Grant Gifts and Home Furnishings – and combined the two into the Pearl Grant Richmans we know today.

The 10,000 square foot multi-department shop within a shop specializes in upscale products. This includes fine greeting cards and stationery, gourmet chocolates and foods, and the most unique gallery of American-made gifts in the Capital District.
