Sunmark’s Summer of Kindness is well underway.

The Sunmark Charitable Community Foundation recently partnered with “Working Group on Girls of Schenectady” for their annual Girls Day Out event, with students from Schenectady schools.

Sunmark led a group of 150 eighth grade girls in assembling toiletry bags featuring items promoting physical and mental health.

A total of 200 bags, branded with a “You Are Awesome” message, were filled with body lotions, Beekman 1802 soap bars, lip balms, eye masks, positive affirmation stickers, calming sensory strips, gratitude journals and inspirational key chains.

Each girl received a care bag at the end of the workshop and the extra bags were donated back to Schenectady schools.

The Sunmark Charitable Community Foundation will continue more Kindness Projects in its “Summer of Kindness” series throughout July and August.
