Survey finds optimism among Capital Region employers

Capital Region employers say they’re optimistic about the future. That’s according to a hiring index from Alaant Workforce Solutions.

It generated responses from more than 100 employers – ranging from big to small.

The survey found 63% of employers say they’re optimistic or very optimistic about job growth – and nearly half say hiring has increased over the last six months.

However, most businesses fear it will be challenging or very challenging to hire in the near future.

Additionally, 70% of employers are increasing salaries and offering additional financial incentives to attract and retain employees.

Launched in 2015, the Alaant Hiring Index is the exclusive measure of the Capital Region’s job market, used by organizations across a wide range of industries.
