Woman dead, car seat saves 3-year-old in Johnstown crash
A woman in a Jeep was killed and a 3-year-old child survived in a crash Tuesday afternoon in Johnstown.
The crash happened at around 2 p.m. at the intersection of Route 29A and Route 30A, Fulton County Sheriff Richard Giardino said. He credits the car seat with saving the child’s life.
A southbound vehicle was taking a left turn onto Route 29A and struck the red Jeep heading north that had the right of way.
There is no word yet on any possible tickets or charges.

EDITOR’S NOTE: Investigators initially told NewsChannel 13 the child was 4 years old. They released an update on Wednesday to say the child is 3.
