The woman who was struck by a car on Washington Avenue in Albany on Wednesday night has died from her injuries.

The crash happened near 1389 Washington Ave. at about 5:15 p.m. Police believe the 53-year-old woman was trying to cross the street when she was hit.

Her identity is not being released until her family is notified.

The driver is cooperating with the investigation, police said.
