A wreath laying ceremony was held on Tuesday for former President Martin Van Buren.

This is the 241^st birthday of Van Buren, who was born in Kinderhook and was in office from 1837 to 1841. He died in 1862.

Students from Ichabod Crane Elementary School sang “Happy Birthday.”
