Cleanup work continues Thursday afternoon at the site of a train derailment in Rensselaer County.

State Route 67 near State Street in Valley Falls will likely be closed until at least after Friday’s morning commute.

Ten cars from a 94-car Berkshire-Eastern train left the track on Wednesday night near Valley Falls. Two of the cars ended up in the Hoosic River.

No one was injured.

One car was carrying vegetable-type oil and the other plastic pellets. A portion of Route 67 near the tracks is still closed as workers attempt to start the process to remove those cars from the water.
