Capital Region Card Show

Card collectors got the chance to find that special something at the inaugural Capital Region Card Show in Albany.

Card collectors got a chance to find that special something that they’ve been wanting at the inaugural Capital Region Card Show at the Capital Center in Albany.

The tables were full of all kinds of cards and memorabilia.

People browsed to shop, of course, but it was also about talking to the sellers, sharing stories and experiences. They have a common interest.

Erik Smith from Bennington, Vermont has wrestling cards.

“Actually, believe it or not, I got into card collecting because my dad, in first grade, my dad bought me packs of cards for being a good student, got me into cards, and now I do wrestling because my brother actually wrestles for WWE, he’s Ivar on Monday Night Raw,” he said.

Smith says probably his most requested item is Roman Reigns, who is a professional wrestler.

Organizers say they wanted to give collectors and sellers an affordable and interactive experience of card collecting and trading.
