East Greenbush Police looking for suspects related to car theft

East Greenbush Police are looking for three people wanted in connection with a car theft that occurred early Saturday morning in Hampton Manor.

EAST GREENBUSH, N.Y. (WNYT)- East Greenbush Police are looking for three people wanted in connection with a car theft that occurred early Saturday morning in Hampton Manor.

The white Honda Civic was stolen from a home on Maryland Ave. E sometime before 7 a.m. when the victim noticed it was gone and called police, they said. The Civic was unlocked with the keys in it when it was taken.

The victim found her vehicle around 10 a.m. on Spring Ave. E with three people inside, two blocks away from where it was stolen, according to police. After the victim confronted the suspects, they fled on foot towards Maryland Ave. E.

Police said they believe the suspects were in the Hampton Manor area between 4-10 a.m. and are asking residents to check outside security cameras for activity that could help their investigation.

The suspects are described as three black males in their late teens or early 20’s, with hoods up. One was wearing a ski mask and all three were wearing white sneakers.

Residents with camera footage or photos of the suspects are asked to call Officer Witko at (518) 479-2525 and reference case number 24-8041.
