Fire leaves 8 people displaced in Albany

Albany Fire Department investigating a fire that damaged 2 apartments.

The fire happened on 183 North Allen Street just off Washington Ave. at around 5:01 p.m. Saturday evening.

Fire Chief Joseph Gregory confirmed to NewsChannel 13, 8 people lived in the building.

They have been temporarily relocated.

At the time of the of the fire, 3 people were inside, they were able to get out safety.

No are no reports of any injuries.

Chief Gregory says there was extensive damage to the building including the attic.
