Gas station latest in string of Albany robberies

Police in Albany are investigating several armed robberies in the city.
The most recent happened Saturday night before 10 p.m. Police say the suspect tried to hold up the Sunoco on Broadway near Livingston Avenue.
Officers say the suspect went up to the gas station’s counter, and demanded cash while holding a handgun. Police say he ultimately left empty-handed.
Detectives ask anyone who might be able to identify the suspect to call police.
