Illinois family reunited with dog missing since barn fire

An Illinois dog who had been missing since a barn fire in early December has been reunited with his family.
Ollie, a German shepherd golden retriever mix, disappeared December 11. He was recently spotted 62 miles away from home.
TV station WEEK surprised the family with a reunion.
They thought they were sharing the story of their lost dog, but were reunited with the dog instead.
Ollie somehow survived freezing temperatures and snow in central Illinois- including wind chills of -3 35°.

Ollie lost about 30 pounds and had some damage to his pads and nails. Otherwise, he’s in amazing shape.
