It may be the dead of winter in New York City, but visitors can now enjoy ice skating without the need to bundle up in the cold.

The Edge observation deck in Manhattan’s Hudson Yards neighborhood has opened an indoor staking rink, 100 stories in the sky.

Temperatures were near freezing outside on Tuesday, but the indoor rink was toasty warm thanks to the use of a synthetic ice material made by Colorado company Glice.

The Edge observation deck first opened in 2020 as part of the Hudson Yards retail, residential and office complex — built atop a formerly disused rail yard on Manhattan’s west side.

The Edge says they plan to keep the indoor rink open through the end of the season.
