12 jurors seated in Patino trial

A jury has been selected in the case of a Duanesburg man accused of killing his wife and 5-year-old son.

Jury selection for the trial of Nelson Patino began on Tuesday and wrapped up Friday. He is charged in the killings in his Duanesburg home in December 2021.

His attorney, Michael McDermott, plans to call a psychiatrist to testify that his client’s COVID-19 led to psychosis including hallucinations is what led to the stabbings.

Opening arguments are set to begin on Monday.
