BEREA, Ky. – Jon Gaddis finds solace in painting images of locations that he finds in rural areas.

The artist traded an indoor studio, for the great outdoors.

He’s able to focus on anything but three 12-hour shifts as a paramedic, along with recent loss and divorce.

Instead, he gets lost in the tranquility that comes in a place of healing.
