The Old Westbury Police Department in Nassau County, New York is getting a new tool to track cars that try to evade police. It’s called StarChase.

Before police even turn their lights on, they can tag a car with a GPS dart. Instead of chasing the car, they can track it.

Each unit costs about $6,000, but the department also pays a maintenance fee so that the department can get new tags if they need it and access to the GPS map so they can find these cars.
