Joe Fresetta of Pennsylvania recently made an interesting discovery while at a state park. He found a message in a bottle that dates back 50 years.

He first assumed it was trash. Then Fresett and his wife, Marci Mowery, who is president of the Pennsylvania Parks and Forests Foundation – carefully pulled out the faded pieces of paper

One was a 50-year-old campground receipt for $6 written to Bernard Moore of York.  The other was a paper plate where people wrote about their experience in the park.

According to the note, the Moore family stayed there in campsite number 11. They also added that the neighbors were a little bit loud during their stay.
