Michigan 7th grader stops bus after driver falls unconscious

A 7th grader in Michigan sprang into action on Wednesday after his bus driver fell unconscious.

The video is dramatic, and it is scary to think about what might have been. The female bus driver begins to slow down, but never completes the task because she loses consciousness.

The bus began to veer into oncoming traffic. That’s when 7th grader Dylan Reeves jumped up from his seat, took the wheel, and slowly stopped the bus.

He told the other students to call 911.

Dylan has watched the bus driver many times, he said, which helped him learn what to do.
