New City Outreach has opened at the former Victory Church.

The center at 118 Quail St. in Albany will have a market style food pantry, resource center and a training center.

It will provide fresh fruits, vegetables and whole wheat bread. Healthy choices will help with the issues of a food desert.

The resource center will provide assistance for those in need. The training center will help train men, women and children in many areas of life development.
The center will also continue an anti-gun violence program that collects all nonregistered handguns.
The church was forced to shut down a feeding center on First and Quail that the church ran for 25 years. It had to close with the continued gun violence and bullets shot inside the facility.
This new location will work hard in trying to shut down the gun violence through this new outreach center.
The grand opening will be held Wednesday, Nov. 21 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

On Thanksgiving Day, there will be free meals to go and a coat giveaway from noon to 2 p.m.
