For the first time, Fatouma, Kadidia, Hawa, Adama, Oumou, Bah, Mohammed, Oumar and Elhadji, the world’s only nonuplets, had their birthday at home.

The children spent the first 19 months of their lives in Morocco, where they were born, for specialist care before they could return to Mali.

Abdel Kader Arby and Halima Cisse, the nonuplets’ parents, had already a 4-year-old daughter when they learnt of the multiple pregnancy, which would change their life drastically.

At their births, the nonuplets broke the Guinness record for “the most children delivered at a single birth to survive.”
