PBS confirms it won’t air ‘It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown’ this year

It appears “It’s The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown” won’t be available on regular TV at all this year.

PBS made a deal with the Apple TV+ streaming platform last year to air the holiday classic in 2021. However, they say they don’t have the rights to distribute it now.

Regretfully, PBS does not have the rights to distribute the Peanuts specials this year. We’ll all have to watch for the Great Pumpkin in a different pumpkin patch this Halloween.

The special was once a staple on CBS, then ABC. It is still available on Apple TV+. The streaming service says it will be free to stream to everyone between October 28 and October 31.
