An Amsterdam woman is accused of stabbing her housemate during an argument.

An Amsterdam woman is accused of stabbing her housemate during an argument over money.

Stacey A. Mickle, 48, demanded money from the woman and then grabbed a pair of scissors and struck her in the arm, Amsterdam Police said.

It happened at around 10:15 a.m. on Sunday at a residence at 10 Trinity Place. The victim walked into St. Mary’s Hospital with a cut to her arm. She was treated and released, police said.

Mickle was charged with felony counts of second-degree assault and misdemeanors of criminal possession of a weapon and menacing. She was arraigned in Amsterdam City Court and sent without bail to Montgomery County Jail.

Police said the investigation is ongoing and additional charges are possible.
