Queensbury contractor convicted of stealing from client’s home

A contractor has been convicted of stealing from a person whose home he was working on.

William Miner was convicted by a jury on charges of petit larceny and criminal possession of stolen property.

The jury found he stole from a victim who paid him for the purchase and installation of vinyl siding – saying Miner did not do the work, or return the money.

He also used the victim’s credit card without the victim’s permission.

Miner will be sentenced in November.
