Retirement is a time to relax – unless you’re an electrician in O’Fallon, Illinois.

For the past several years, the retired union electrical workers from IBEW 309 have been teaming up with the O’Fallon Habitat for Humanity chapter to energize new homes.

They’ve spent years providing power to houses all over their community.

What sparked them to dust off the old voltage tester was the opportunity to give back.

Habitat credits these electric pros for helping them reduce the cost of construction and make dreams come true for families.
